Governor's Update - November
Nov 21, 2022
Hello Rotarians, it is November, and the leaves are changing. What a beautiful scene all around us, enjoy, the snow will be here before we know it. I continue to be amazed by all the Rotarians in our district and the many awesomeprojects they are working on including the ones that were already completed. I have gathered some pictures here in no particular order so that all of you can see what is happening in our district and be inspired by what you see. Really amazing projects, thank you.
October is the month when we select our next District Governor, and I am happy to announce that Tracy McCall from the Rotary Club of Kamloops West has been chosen to lead our district for the year 2025-2026. Please extend a warm welcome to Tracy. I am looking forward to working with Tracy in the years to come.
Have you chosen your Club’s PE yet? I hope that you have. PETS planning and registration is underway and Marjolein Lloyd our DGE is working hard to identify all of them so that we can have a highly successful training event in February, where 10 districts get together to train their incoming club Presidents, we are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful alliance offering the best training available with great speakers. To prepare the PEs in advance we will be offering Pre-Pets in 2 locations to make it as convenient as possible, one in BC and and one in WA you should have received registration information by now, so please register and get ready for your year as your club President. Being club President was one of my favorite positions in my ongoing Rotary Journey.
For the benefit of our newest members and non-Rotarian readers, I feel compelled to explain some of the acronymsthat we as Rotarians are using constantly, here it goes.
PETS= President Elect Training Seminar
PE= President Elect
DGE=District Governor Elect
DG=District Governor
AG=Assistant Governor
There are too many of these to list them all, but I hope this helps.
Until next month and do not forget “Dream big and take Action”!
Yours in Rotary
Karl and Denise
