A New Rotary Year Begins

By

Hello District 5060,

For those we haven't had the opportunity to meet yet, I'm Jill Leonard from the Rotary Club of Wenatchee. It is an honor to serve as District Governor as we begin a new Rotary year together.

I recently returned from the Rotary International Convention in Taipei, Taiwan, where thousands of Rotarians from around the world gathered to celebrate service, exchange ideas, and strengthen the friendships that make Rotary unique. While our languages, cultures, and communities may differ, one thing was abundantly clear: Rotary's greatest strength has always been its people.

That experience reinforced a belief that has shaped our district theme for the year: Fuel the Future: Investing in the Next Generation.

Something new is coming to Rotary District 5060!

The 2027 District Roadshow will bring the energy of a district conference directly to our members with four unique stops across the district, two in Canada and two in the United States. Each location will feature its own program and experience, giving you fresh reasons to attend more than one stop and connect with Rotarians across the region.

You can still expect many of the traditions you enjoy most, along with new opportunities for learning, celebrations and connections along the way.

Mark your calendar now and start planning to be part of this exciting district-wide journey.  If you are interested in being part of the planning, please reach out to DG Jill Leonard, at JLeonard5742@gmail.ocm.
