PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Session #1 From Template to Impact: Canva for Rotary Clubs
Turn your club’s ideas into clear, professional-looking communications using Canva. This beginner-to-intermediate Learning Lab will introduce practical tools for creating social media graphics, event promotions, flyers, presentations, and other club materials. Participants will explore templates, branding basics, design tips, and time-saving Canva features while learning how to keep communications consistent and recognizable. Bring a laptop or tablet and come ready to create, experiment, and leave with ideas your club can use right away.
Session #2 Beyond the Booth: Creating a Rotary Presence That Connects
A table is more than a place to hand out brochures. It’s an opportunity to share Rotary’s story, build relationships, recruit members, attract volunteers, promote service projects, and increase community awareness. In this interactive Learning Lab, participants will exchange ideas, explore effective display techniques, discuss engaging conversation starters, and develop practical strategies for setting goals and measuring success. You’ll leave with a checklist and ideas you can adapt for your next community event.
Session #1 Retention Starts on Day One
Join this facilitated conversation as we explore how clubs can create meaningful connections from a member’s very first experience. Share ideas, learn from one another, and discover practical approaches that help members feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to stay.
Session #2 Growing Through Service
Explore how meaningful service projects can strengthen your club, increase community visibility and naturally attract new members to your club.
Session #1 The Rotary Foundation 101
Learn the basics of The Rotary Foundation, how it is funded, and how those dollars come back to support Rotary projects locally and around the world.
Session #2 District and Global Grants Made Simple
Take the mystery out of Rotary grants. Learn the basics of District and Global Grants, what makes a strong grant project, and where to find help getting started.
Session #1 More Than Networking: Building Relationships That Create Opportunity
Strong professional relationships are built through curiosity, clarity, and meaningful follow-up, not simply exchanging business cards. In this interactive Learning Lab, participants will practice introducing themselves, asking better questions, identifying ways to support others, and creating a simple plan for continuing the conversation after an event.
Session #2 Make Your Mark: Building Your Personal Brand
Discover how to communicate your strengths, values, and professional goals with confidence. This interactive Learning Lab will help you clarify what sets you apart, strengthen your professional presence, and identify practical ways to build credibility both in person and online.
